Conducted jury trials, bench trials and settlement negotiations for low-income clients facing eviction proceedings

Researched and authored critical analysis about a myriad of civil liberties issues related to police search and seizure violations and surveillance protocols, conducted media interviews about BORDC sponsored public policy, testified in favor of surveillance reform before state legislatures in several states, coordinated a team of law student and undergrad interns on research and writing projects.

Olympia Unified School District, Olympia, WA      Para-educator: 2010

Worked one-on-one with children with behavioral disorders reentering elementary school following an expulsion for violence, created curriculum unique to each student and their needs, helped students reenter the classroom

Bread and Roses Advocacy Center, Olympia, WA              Coordinator: 2007-2009

Directed full-time homeless drop-in and advocacy center serving 200+ to include grant writing, supervision of 10 intern staff and volunteers, public presentations, housing advocacy, membership in community non-profit alliances and city housing workgroups, supervise & provide case services, told jokes on the porch with clients
